Dear Chapter Members,

Thanks for the opportunity to serve as your leader and the continued support of your local chapter of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN). Our personal and professional lives have been disrupted tremendously due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I want to take the opportunity to acknowledge our colleagues working on the frontline and those who caught the virus and recovered. I also want to pay respect to those who succumb to the illness including our co-worker Celi who is now resting in peace.

The Greater Miami Area Chapter (GMAC) will continue to uphold AACN's mission and vision grounded in the core values of effective communication, commitment, teamwork, caring, respect, collaboration, and self-care. I know these are trying times, but this is our "moment to be all in" of taking care of our patients, families, and each other.
